The samples we're offering come from our own curated collection of designer brands, not a marketing campaign.

They're artisanal (created by real perfumers, not marketers) and picked by us with intention.

They include niche and designer fragrances — often not sold in big box stores. In some cases, to order a full bottle, you may need to wait until the next batch is produced by the designer.

We decant them from authentic full bottles. Each one has been chosen for it's smell... but also its usefulness and versatility -- after wearing more than 200 fragrances.

We include a much wider variety, too, where department store fragrances typically lean towards florals with strong (headache causing) projection.

The problem with strong projection (aside from headaches) is that they can change the way your food tastes because the fragrance is so strong. And they affect others around you.

Meanwhile, designer and niche fragrances tend to be more mindful.

Sometimes, people get compliments on their fragrance simply because it has a strong projection. Passersby don't know what to say, so they compliment it. Or they like it briefly, but then can't wear it themselves when they have to smell it all day.

The fragrances we've chosen are ones we feel we can wear all day.

Every person's body chemistry is different so you may not like them all. But it's a good place to start.

They are designer and niche fragrances from reputable brands known for their good, quality ingredients.

Fragrances sold at Target, Ulta and Sephora are often created by marketers, not perfumers. They're cheaper because they're made in bulk to be sold in the hundreds of thousands worldwide.

We tested those + plus nearly 100 designer fragrances (totaling 200 fragrances all together) and found these 12 niche fragrances to be the most useful, versatile and less headache inducing in the bunch.

Bright, wearable, viral for a reason.  This $45/bottle version is difficult to find a sample of (even though the perfume itself is for sale on Amazon) so we're coming to your rescue with a sample to see if you like it first.
• Sugar Leather by Une Nuit Nomade – Sweet with a suede twist. Great for nights out.
• Armani Magenta Tanzanite – Warm spices and smoke. Perfect for winter.
• Une Air d'Apogée by Maison Violet – Tobacco with a soft, feminine edge.
• Athair by Parfums de Marly – Technically for men, but we love it on women. Vanilla + amber.
• Bianco Latte – Edible-smelling vanilla latte that’s warm, cozy, and playful.

Each 1ml spray offers approx. 7–12 sprays, so the full set should last 1–3 months, depending on use.

Yes. If you already know you like these fragrances, you can order 2ml instead of 1. Sometimes 2 ml is all you need to get you through the year. Then, you can try something else next year.

We take 1-2 days to package your order then USPS takes 5-7 days for shipping.

You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships.

Yes, if you already have some of these in your collection or you've always wanted to try something on our list, you can put your preferences in the special instructions box on the order page. No promises, but we can try to customize your order.

Please refer to the list of fragrances we have in this FAQ section. We are always on the lookout for new fragrances to add to our collection but these are the ones we hand-picked from the 200 we've worn so far.

No. We recommend ordering full bottles direct from the brand or on one of the discount sites mentioned in the guide.

We will, however, consider selling half or quarter-full bottles to you.

Designer fragrances are sometimes expensive, so if you find one you like -- and the price is out of reach or you don't think you'll use a full bottle -- send us an email and we'll let you know when our bottle gets half to three quarters empty.

We'd rather not put empty bottles in our landfills. And buying new (for us) means the people who order here always get fresh samples.

So it's a win-win.

A quarter to a half-full bottle (depending on the size) could last you a year or several years and may allow you to buy more than one fragrance, too. So if there are any you're interested in, send us a note to be put on a waitlist and we'll email you when (and if) we're willing to sell.

All samples are packed carefully, but due to the nature of liquids, minor evaporation or leakage is possible. If a major leak occurs, please send us a photo within 24 hours so we can make it right.
